My Review
I have no words here. I have had to mull this one over for a few weeks. Some love this series, and some hate it. All books are like that. If you want a book with fantastic world-building, this one is certain. The Empyrean series has been outstanding with character-building and world-building. Gotta love those dragons!
There were a lot more characters introduced in Onyx Storm. I had to slow my reading and go back and re-read things to understand them and their place in the story. A lot was packed in when it came to that.
I just couldn’t put this book down even though I wanted to chuck the book across the room at times (not in a bad way). It is rare for a book to get my emotions running on high, but let me tell you, I laughed, and I cried. If you want to read a fantasy book that will utterly destroy you in different ways, you should read all three books in this series. Each one will leave you thinking about it for days, even weeks, after you have read them. I will patiently await the fourth book in this series.
